User manual

Shake before use.

Dilution: 1+7, in case of heavy coating increase the concentration. If possible, remove loose dirt and grease/oil before cleaning. Use sponge, spray or brush, leave on, rinse with water. Repeat if necessary. Recommended temperature: 20 – 60°C.

Derusting or descaling in the bath

Clean in a bath for 1-6 hours, until rust and scale are gone. Wash and brush off with clean water.
ATTENTION! No copper and iron in the same bath.

Descaling of washing and dishwashers

Add approx. 0.25 l concentrate in the detergent compartment (dishwasher, directly in the machine). Run the main program. Lime deposits on glass/porcelain can be removed in the dishwasher in the same way.

Descale coffee machine

Start and let the solution (1+7) flow through the brewer. In case of heavy coating, repeat the treatment. Rinse the coffee maker with clean water that is allowed to run through 4 times.

Descaling of kettles

Fill the kettle about 4/5 full with water. Boil, fill with Hippofix® Lime/rust and let stand for 10 min. Rinse thoroughly.
NOTE: Zinc, galvanized steel, marble and some carbon steels are sensitive to low pH. Therefore, use the product carefully on these materials, if unsure, try on a small area first. Different types of metal joined together can give rise to galvanic corrosion.
